The Mighty Three are 15 Months
15 Months of The Mighty Three
August 15, 2018 we are 15 months old and 11 months adjusted. The reason we keep up with actual (15 months) and adjusted (11 months) is due to them being born 4 months early. We are compared to an 11 month old for growth and developmental purposes.
This past month has been a whirlwind! With Ryan starting back school, selling our home (and we have no idea where we are moving, probably with my parents ;) ), Maggie going on three road trips, and relaunching the blog, my plate has felt full. We have a lot to be grateful for and celebrate this month with the babies! Today is also my dad's birthday, Happy Birthday JamPa.
August 15 will always hold a special place in my heart. It was this day last year that I held Maggie, Max, and Miller together for the FIRST TIME. Yes you read that correctly, after 92 days all three babies finally met! Cue the tears. It's the first time I really felt like a triplet mom. You can read more about that day here.
Maggie Gail
Maggie is a spit fire and I am going to be on my knees A LOT. I already am with this one! I love her fiery personality and how she test everything. I'm learning about how to nurture her spicy personality and letting her be her. My greatest prayer for Maggie right now is that she will not feel like she has to become more gentle or die down her spiciness. I felt this for many years, I felt that something was wrong with me, why can't I be gentle and nurturing?, and then I stopped. Stopped trying to be someone else. I am spicy and a spit fire and that's how God designed me. God's Kingdom is big enough for every personality.
Maggie loves to laugh. It's so raspy and so cute. She loves to give high fives, wave bye bye, and clap. She also started "dancing" this month and I can't get enough of it.
Growth wise she is right at the 17 pound mark and wearing 9 month clothing. Developmentally she is sitting up, crawling, cruising, and just started standing on her own. She currently isn't in OT or PT but will be starting Special Instructor Therapy on September 1st. This will help her will social skills.
She is so FUN! She loves to play and learns quickly. I love her smile full of teeth. I love how she crinkles her nose when she laughs. I love the little girl she is becoming.
Maxwell Christopher
Max is simply a joy. He smiles all the time and loves to give kisses and hugs. He is so gentle and lovable. He is our most vocal baby and will talk ALL DAY LONG. His voice is so sweet and he has a lot to say. He also has the biggest vocabulary of the three, he can say: mamma, Dada, bye bye, hi, and Oh!. My biggest prayer and hope for Max lately has been that he will know he is loved no matter what. No matter what the future holds he will feel supported, loved, and included.
Max loves to follow Maggie and Miller around on their adventures, loves to wave, loves to rake his hands against different textures, and is obsessed with his paci and lovey. When he gets in the bed at night and grabs his lovey and rubs it against his face, heart melt. It gets me every time.
Growth wise he is hovering the 16 pound mark and wears 9 month shirts with 3-6 month bottoms. Max man, you have no butt. Developmentally he is army crawling, can sit up in a tripod position for 30 seconds, starting to put weight on his feet, and rolling. He is currently in OT and PT once a week for an hour at a time. He also works with our OT on feeding and we have seen HUGE improvements this month with his feeding.
Everyone who meets him loves him. He is so kind, greets everyone with a smile, and loves to play! I love his laugh. I love how he pulls himself into my lap. I love that he snuggles. I love that he doesn't give up. Max Man I love you.
Miller James
Miller is such a weird kid. He always has a puzzled look on his face. He is a problem solver and does everything his own way. His favorite thing is shaking his head No-No until he gets what he wants. He likes to be alone the most. You can find him playing with a toy in the corner or starring at the window. I pray daily that Miller will always feel comfortable beating his own drum, standing alone, and being weird. Miller be weird, be you! I'm cheering for you!
Miller loves cars, balls, and lifting up heavy things. He loves to get a lick of my coffee every morning and can eat a hot dog unbelievably fast. He loves, I mean loves books. He will crawl with a book, sit in my lap, and wait till I read it. He loves sucking his thumb and is my best sleeper. When he grabs my neck and gives me a squeeze I melt. You are so lovable Miller Bug.
Growth wise Miller is on the charts! He weighs around 20 pounds and wears 12 month clothing. Developmentally Miller is crawling, standing by himself, cruising, and has taken 4 steps! He can say Mama and Dada, but mostly just loves to scream! He is currently in OT and PT once a week for 30 minutes at a time.
Everyone that meets Miller says he looks just like my dad! He looks like a toddler and I don't like it one bit! Miller I love your buck teeth. I love your tender heart. I love your loud voice. I love watching you explore outside. Miller you truly make me smile and I couldn't be more proud to be your mom.
Month 15 you were a joy!
Maggie, Max, and Miller I love you!
