Week 39: Day 103 of Life
Update this week brought to you by Ryan.
This week has truly been one of praise for Maggie, Max, and Miller. Each one has made progress and reached individual milestones throughout the week. We also celebrated 100 days in the NICU this week. We can not express how much we love our NICU family and how thankful we are for our amazing doctors and nurses. The updates are getting fewer each week and we are learning that is a good thing. Update below:
Maggie
Maggie weighs 6 lbs 1 oz!
She is on High Flow Oxygen at 23%. She started the week at 5 liters and is now at 2 liters.
Her biggest milestone this week is she started to bottle feed!
She is taking 5 ml twice a day in the bottle. She has done well so far!
"This was the first week I saw her face without a cannula and NG tube. I saw her clean face and she is truly beautiful." - Ryan
Max
Max weighs 6 lbs 7 oz!
He is on High Flow Oxygen at 25%. He started the week at 5 liters and is now on 2.5 liters.
His eye exam this week showed regression from ROP stage 3 to ROP stage 2.
"He is our wild man! He loves to get some attention." - Ryan
Miller
Miller weighs 7 lbs 1 oz!
He is on High Flow Oxygen at 23%. He started the week at 5 liters and is now at 3 liters.
His eye exam this week showed regression from ROP stage 3 to ROP stage 2.
"Miller is my mini-me! Right down to the same triple chins I had as a baby!" - Ryan
This was a very special moment this week. Both boys were the most alert we have ever seen them and loved being held together. Miller stayed awake the entire time and lived up to his nickname as the "mover and shaker." Max stared and smiled at his dad and brother the entire time.
