Week 17 Update
Week 17 has been full of surprises, answered prayers, and tears.
Abby Update:
Below is a picture of Abby at 17 weeks :) Abby is still feeling great, but a little emotional and tired the past couple of weeks. Not only is she carrying three boys, but she is in grad school! Talk about a woman that amazes me. Ellie Holcomb's songs have been on repeat lately and the truths she reminds us of God's faithfulness.
Ryan Update:
I have been working a second job two nights a week to save extra money and prepare us for the future. Energy is in short supply and multiple cups of coffee are being consumed. God has been faithful in providing extra hours at night to work and Summer school in June. The rest of my time is spent serving Abby, painting the bathroom, and saying goodbye to our dog Penny.
Max, Owen, and Miller Update:
At week 17 all babies are looking great! All have strong heartbeats and looking healthy. Max is measuring a few days behind, Owen is right on track with Abby, and Miller, well Miller is a week ahead of everyone! Even though they are all measuring different sizes the doctor isn't worried. Something funny, all three babies have the same head size. Poor baby Max with a huge head, guess he takes after his dad :) There is still not talk of bed rest at this point or shortening of the cervix. As of right now, everything is best case scenario! PRAISE!
Answered Prayers:
We shared three weeks ago that a van was gifted to us and now we can share the whole story! A family in Gainesville has a 12th-grade son that drives a minivan. His family promised him a car of his choice when he graduates in May. We got to call the family last week to say thank you. The mom started talking about her son that drives the minivan, guess what his name is?Miller! We got chills and so did she. God is in the details.
We have also had a diaper fairy showing up at our house and leaving diapers. If that is you, THANK YOU!
We are now gearing up for a yard sale on April 29th, hosted by our church. All the money made will be donated to help pay for the tags, taxes, and title of the van and any other expenses. If you have anything that you would like to donate to the yard sale please let us know. Our church family, small but mighty, has blown us away.
Prayer Request:
Healthy babies!!!!
Abby's decision about next year: staying at home vs. returning to work.
Abby being able to sleep through the night.
Trusting the Lord with our new budget and lifestyle.
Selling our CRV to get rid of our car payment.
Relief of anxiety and fear.
Ryan won't feel burden with providing but thrive.
God has called us by name. God has called us to parent three boys. In the moments of fear and doubt, we are reminded that we are chosen for this journey. That reminder alone ceases fear and gives us hope.
